Happy New Year!
We hope you had a happy holiday season filled with good food. Time to fill the empty spaces in your pantry – we're back open for our regular hours: Thursdays 9am-6pm, Fridays 9am-7pm, and Saturdays 9am-6pm. With some new items and all of our good oldies, we're ready for you to stop in!
Axel from Wooldrift Farm has brought in a fresh shipment of delicious single-serving lamb pies and his new “Smokey” lamb sausages, delicious with a hint of mint or other flavours. He has also filled the fridge with his new sheeps' milk cream cheese, plus the favoured Olive Meadow marinated feta cheese, perfect on its own or in various recipes.
Cirrus Hill Farm has also filled a freezer with free-range young roasting ducks, 3-4 lbs. each, $6.20/lb.
New in store are fresh greens from Beaver Valley Sprout Farm. For $3.50 per generous bag, you can choose from Buckwheat Lettuce, Sunflower Greens, Radish Sprouts, or Speckled Pea Shoots – just check in the fridge by the front door of the store to see what's left – last week they were almost gone by Thursday evening!
We will be holding lessons on “How to Sprout” - would you be interested in attending? Be sure to let us know what day of the week, and if day time or evening would best suit your schedule so that we can try to plan accordingly.
Please remember to call ahead if you would like us to set anything aside for you, reach us during store hours at 519-538-1522.
See you soon!
With thanks...
