It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at The 100 Mile Market!
Stocking stuffers abound at the Market, you can find little treats and treasures tucked in our fully stocked shelves. Fresh Aarden's chocolates (and sugar-free chocolate), Scotch Mountain shortbread, and beautiful jars of preserves for the foodies on your list. We also have new soaps from Song Sparrow Creations (Sunnyside Honey) in kid-sized shapes and colours, as well as delicious lip balms and... ask to see Jane's new “honey sticks” for portable sweetness.
Even with the busy holiday season approaching, we have had new vendors bring their beautiful products to the store:
Trudy's Country Kitchen – 11 flavours of BBQ sauce, from dark Apple Bourbon to tangy Honey-Orange, there are flavours to suit every palate. With fruit in jars for pie filling plus pickled jalapeños and delicious jellies, this new shelf of goodies is beautiful and tempting!
And Jay has been back with his organic Beaver Valley Apple Butter and Apple Syrup, dark in colour and full of flavour.
Try some of these new products with your old favourites and let us know what you think! Or ask us to make a gift basket customized for your gift-giving needs. And if you just can’t decide… give a gift certificate from The 100 Mile Market!
And don't forget, we have many of your Christmas baking staples, salted and unsalted butter – plus new! Organic Meadow butter, Grass Roots Organics flour, organic dried cranberries, and much more.
Fresh vegetables are still here as well, Ontario-grown potatoes, carrots, beets and parsnips, including organic rainbow carrots, and sweet potatoes grown in Aylmer, plus greens such as tall leafy kale and hydroponic Boston lettuce. The fridges are full with beef and elk summer sausage, various cheeses, hummus and pate, smoked fish, and many other ideas for holiday hors d'oeuvres.
One more week for ordering that special cut of meat you might want for the holidays – just let us know what you are looking for and we will source it for you!
And for those post-shopping dinners when you need something quick and satisfying, we still carry organic spelt or wheat pizza dough ready to be thawed and decorated.
Stay safe in the snow this weekend!
We are open this weekend and next, plus our special holiday hours Tuesday and Wednesday Dec. 22-23, 9 am – 6pm. See you soon!
