Be inspired to make your own pizza, using only local ingredients!

The 100 Mile Market now carries Grain Harvest Organic Wheat or Spelt prepared pizza dough, made in Waterloo. In the freezer, this pizza dough is all ready to go for a simple home-made pizza. Thaw in your fridge for one day, and roll or press out onto an oiled baking sheet sprinkled with organic corn meal. Add your favourite toppings and bake at 425 until golden brown.

Try some new combinations:

Curried Pineapple & Ginger Chutney as a sauce, ground elk meat, hot house tomato slices & portobello mushrooms, with Feta, or 5 yr. Cheddar cheese.

Or without meat, try our Garlic & Oregano Oil, topped with sliced tomatoes, yellow peppers, mushrooms, and feta cheese.

And this weekend – Come to our Cook Book Swap!

Bring in your previously-loved cook books to our swap table and exchange for others! Bring one – take one!  (or bring 10 – take 10!!)

This event will be held at The 100 Mile Market throughout our hours of business Thursday, Friday and Saturday, August 27, 28, 29, 2009.  We will have a special table dedicated to displaying available cook books – dust them off and bring them in! Any leftover cook books will be donated to The Net Shed in support of the Meaford Public Library.  If you don’t have any books to swap, we will have a jar for donations to be made to the Meaford Public Library.
