Announcing! Cook Book Swap at The 100 Mile Market in Meaford, August 27-29:
Bring in your previously-loved cook books to our swap table and exchange for others! We all have cookbooks we used to love but don’t take off the shelf any more – let them become someone else’s favourite. Bring one – take one! (or bring 10 – take 10!!)
This event will be held at The 100 Mile Market throughout our hours of business Thursday, Friday and Saturday, August 27, 28, 29, 2009. We will have a special table dedicated to displaying available cook books – dust them off and bring them in! Any leftover cook books will be donated to The Net Shed in support of the Meaford Public Library.
Speaking of books at The 100 Mile Market, we’d like to bring your attention to our many non-edible, locally crafted items in store. We have ideal gifts and household helpers from herbal bath salts to cedar bat boxes. We also have beeswax candles, wooden hand-crafted pens, hummingbird feeders and other crafts, goat and emu soaps and other personal care products, and elk leather moccasins and warm winter mittens for the whole family. And still this season we have lush flower and herb plants from Beaver Valley Flower Farm, plus organic compost to plant them in.
Be sure to stop by for your fresh fish and other goodies for the weekend. Come and get all your BBQ needs and enjoy your long weekend! We are open until 7pm on Fridays, 6pm Thursdays and Saturdays.
